Brett Self
Pastor | Discipleship
Brett joined the Stone Ridge staff in April of 2020. He is married to his beautiful wife Kristi and they have 3 sons -Jordan, Brady, and Korey. He considers his calling in life to equip the Body of Christ to be effective ministers in their daily lives through a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ; through building relationships with others; and through hands-on ministry in their community and around the world. He loves to communicate the truth of the Gospel in a relevant way and help people realize how God has equipped them and provide them opportunities to use those gifts to change the lives of others. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Religion from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. in 1996, his Masters of Divinity with a Specialization in Leadership and Administration from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014, and his Doctor of Ministry with a Specialization in Leadership from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022.
Adam Long
Minister of Worship
Adam has been married for over 20 years to his wife Angela. They both have a heart for lifting up the name of Jesus. They have three children: Noah, Eli, and Abby.
"We are created to worship the Lord Jesus Christ and we want to make much of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and lead songs that preach to us the gospel. We want to lead songs that are theologically sound and culturally relevant that our people will be able to sing throughout the week and through their trials. Our goal is to have unified worship through the transformational power of the gospel, so if our worship hasn’t led to greater obedience, it hasn’t been worship."
John Piper puts it this way, "The inner essence of worship is to know God truly and respond from the heart to that knowledge by valuing God, treasuring God, prizing God, enjoying God, being satisfied with God above all earthly things. And then that deep, restful, joyful satisfaction in God overflows in demonstrable acts of love in serving others for the sake of Christ.”
Bryce joined the Stone Ridge staff in December of 2023. He considers his calling in life to reach the next generation through discipleship, Bible teaching, and relationship building events. He loves to teach God's Word and see the power of life change in the hearts of students. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Christian Studies from Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, GA in May of 2023. He is currently working towards his Masters of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Adam Ward
Minister to Children
Adam joined the Stone Ridge staff in August of 2024. His ministry work began in 2005 working with children and preschool. He has served in several different aspects of the church and loves serving. He has been married for over 10 years to his amazing wife Miranda and they have 1 son – Kingston. He started serving in ministry in his hometown of Pensacola, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing and Minor in Management. He then moved New Orleans to attend the New Orleans Baptist Seminary, where he graduated with a Master’s in Christian education with a specialization in Children’s Ministry. He loves to teach kids the Gospel and watch kids grow into their full potential God has given them. “A child can do everything an adult can do when it comes to sharing their story.” As 1 Timothy 4:12 states, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young but set an example.”
Cindy has been serving in the local church for over forty years and began her ministry at Stone Ridge in December of 2023. Her heart’s desire is to care for and attend to the congregation and provide assistance in any way that she can. Her life verse is
Galatians 2:20 – “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in
me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” She loves being part of the staff and the Worship Ministry at Stone Ridge.
